Houston Jewish Chamber of Commerce

Come join us for the next Houston Jewish Chamber of Commerce  Business Networking Breakfast on Wednesday, October 21st at 8:30 a.m. at Laykie's Gourmet Cafe at the J.

"The Theater of Selling”

This month we will be hearing from Karen Baker Blum  on the topic of “The Fear of Selling” .

Professional selling IS performance; sharing much in common with theater.  The great salesman Joe Girard would lock his office door, then get on his knees and BEG HIS CLIENTS to buy a car!  And they did, at the rate of five cars per day (while his coworkers sold five per month!)

Mediocre salespeople wing it, relying on reactions.  Top sales people learn communication tools to allow the prospect to say “YES!”.  They polish their lines until they shine. Great sales people, like great actors, know the key to successful results is REHEARSING.

Peak performers practice their storylines, as well as their posture, stance, expressions, volume, tone of voice and more.  They know it's not only what you say, but HOW you say it.  When they are face to face with a buyer, their confidence and professionalism are at their peak…because they've rehearsed!

Karen Baker Blum was born into a family of high-performance salespeople and recalls dinner table conversations about calling on and serving prospects.  “Sales is not a job; sales is a way of life”, says Karen, and “the art of making friends and helping them get what they want is what selling is all about.”

Come get over your fear of selling through laughter and play with Karen Baker Blum.  Bring your friends!
